Welcome to Renova (“Renova”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and the renovation, restoration, repair, locksmith, doors and windows, interior remodeling, and emergency services we provide across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and surrounding regions.
By using our website, requesting a quote, or engaging us for any work, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

- Renovation (residential, commercial, and condominium)
- 24/7 emergency response
- Doors, windows, and locksmith work
- Interior remodeling
The exact scope of any project will be set out in a written quote, estimate, or work agreement provided to you before work begins. These Terms apply in addition to any project-specific agreement. If there is a conflict between these Terms and a signed work agreement, the signed work agreement will prevail for that project.
3. Quotes and Estimates
- Quotes and estimates are based on the information available at the time and on a reasonable inspection of the property.
- Unless stated otherwise in writing, a quote is valid for 30 days from its date.
- Estimates are not final prices. The final cost may change if the scope of work changes, if hidden or unforeseen conditions are discovered (for example, concealed water damage, structural issues, mold, or code-related requirements), or if you request additional work.
- We will inform you of any material change to the cost or timeline and, where required, obtain your approval before proceeding (a “change order”).
4. Booking and Site Visits
To schedule work or a site visit, you may need to confirm details such as the property address, access arrangements, and the nature of the work. You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the property so we can carry out the work. Delays caused by lack of access may affect the timeline and cost.
5. Your Responsibilities
When you engage us, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about the property and the work required.
- Confirm that you own the property or are authorized to request the work.
- Obtain, where you are responsible, any permissions required from a condominium board, landlord, or co-owner.
- Remove or protect valuable, fragile, or personal items from the work area where reasonably possible.
- Make timely decisions and approvals so the work can proceed on schedule.
6. Permits, Codes, and Approvals
Some work may require permits or must meet the Ontario Building Code and local by-laws. We will discuss with you who is responsible for obtaining permits for each project. Where we obtain permits on your behalf, related fees may be added to your invoice. You are responsible for ensuring that the work you request is permitted by any applicable condominium rules, strata agreements, or property restrictions.
7. Pricing and Payment
- Prices, deposits, and payment schedules will be set out in your quote or work agreement.
- Unless agreed otherwise, a deposit may be required before work begins.
- Invoices are due within 30 days of the invoice date, unless stated otherwise.
- Applicable taxes (such as HST) will be added where required.
- Late payments may be subject to interest at per month (or the maximum permitted by law, whichever is lower) and may result in suspension of work.
- We may withhold final delivery, materials, or completion documents until payment is received in full.
8. Cancellations and Changes
- If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as early as possible.
- Cancellation terms, including any non-refundable deposit or charges for materials already ordered or work already performed, will be set out in your work agreement.
- Where the federal or Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002 gives you a statutory right to cancel certain contracts within a cooling-off period, those rights apply and are not affected by these Terms.
9. Emergency Services
Our 24/7 emergency response is intended to secure your property and limit further damage. Emergency work may be carried out on a time-and-materials basis, and a detailed scope and estimate for any follow-up repairs will be provided separately. Emergency call-out rates may apply and will be communicated to you as soon as reasonably possible.
10. Workmanship and Warranty
- We take pride in our work and aim to deliver quality results.
- Any workmanship warranty we offer, including its length and what it covers, will be stated in your work agreement.
- Manufacturer warranties on materials, fixtures, and products are provided by the manufacturer and passed on to you where applicable.
- Warranties do not cover normal wear and tear, damage caused by misuse, neglect, alterations by others, or events outside our control.
- To make a warranty claim, contact us using the details in Section 1 within the warranty period.
Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any rights or warranties you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (Ontario) or other applicable consumer protection laws.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including weather, supply shortages, strikes, or denial of site access.
- We are not liable for pre-existing defects, hidden conditions we could not reasonably have identified, or damage caused by the actions of third parties.
- Our total liability for any claim relating to a project will not exceed the total amount you paid us for that project, except where the law does not allow such a limit.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
12. Insurance and Licensing
[Insert your licensing and insurance details once confirmed — for example: “Renova is fully licensed and carries general liability insurance and WSIB coverage as required in Ontario.”] Proof of insurance or licensing can be provided on request.
13. Photographs and Marketing
We may take photographs of completed work for our portfolio, website, and marketing. We will not publish your name, full address, or other identifying details without your consent. If you do not want photographs of your project used, please let us know in writing before the work is completed.
